VIA ART FUND

VIA Art Fund supports contemporary artists, curators, and institutions through grants for art production, thought leadership, and public engagement. AW designed their new offices to occupy a single, open floor of a commercial Back Bay brownstone.

The design supports VIA’s brand by defining space with a simple, refined palette of materials, deploying them in a variety of ways to create flexible spaces for reception, conference, and semi-private work areas. We created a customizable office system that integrates functionality and digital infrastructure with organizational branding, bringing focus to a singular element: a storage and display wall runs the length of the space, transforming into a monumental desk that holds the center of the room and provides a common workspace for staff. It both illustrates and serves the organization’s aesthetic mission. As VIA’s first home, this office helps establish the Fund’s identity as a sophisticated arts organization operating in a modest, non-profit culture.
